First Choice Utilities are pleased to announce our support for a local football team in Washington.
Secretary of the Washington NE38 team Corey Lennox commented; "We approached Anthony, who is well known in local football leagues as both a player and a respected children's football coach, thanks to his generous charitable work within the local community. We asked if he would be able to help provide a small donation to go towards funding our campaign, which can be quite expensive when it comes to buying kits, tracksuits, paying referees, pitch fees and training equipment. Without hesitation, Anthony offered us a much bigger sum than we had asked for which has allowed us to start our season without having to worry about finances."
Corey continued, "The local community within our village have been hit quite hard as a result of Covid-19. People have lost jobs as well loved ones and so it's great that we now have the funds we need to be able to give them something to cheer about and support".
Anthony Anderson MD of First Choice Utilities said; "It was an absolute no brainer. We are doing all we can to support communities throughout the UK via our partnerships with professional sports teams, and so it makes complete sense that we should also help support our local sports teams and local communities following such a tragic year".
