FCU Provide Sporting Equipment to School

First Choice Utilities invited our friends at County in the Community to join our table in the hospitality suite and watch the game against Walsall in our box at Rodney Parade. The game ended in a 2-1 win for Newport County AFC following an 87-minute goal by James Clarke in a thrilling display from both teams.

The purpose of the invitation was to speak with attendees and gain information on initiatives FCU Community could help with, in addition to the ongoing partnership we have with CITC.

As a result, we found that Llanwern High School were in need of new sporting equipment for their children and so we asked for a shopping list and got straight to work.

Llanwern High Schools commented; “We would like to give a huge thank you to First Choice Utilities for kindly donating sports equipment to the school. Equipment donated includes: 40 Mitre Footballs, 20 Badminton Rackets, Shuttle Cocks, 12 Wilson Volley Balls, 12 Netballs, 12 Volleyballs, and 2 sets of Volleyball Bibs”.

Nathan Jones, Area Lead of Health and Wellbeing, added; “Thank you to First Choice Utilities for donating our new sports equipment! The students are really going to enjoy using the equipment throughout the school year developing their skills. East Newport clubs get set for some community talent!”

Anthony Anderson, Director and founder at First Choice Utilities said; “It is a pleasure to help our friends at Llanwern High School in providing them with the resources needed to continue the delivery of their excellent physical education programmes throughout their fantastic facilities. In providing the resources we have, we hope that we are helping to aid in the development of important physical, social, and motor skills of their students following what has been a particularly disruptive and difficult period of transition for most children.”
